How to use this tool

An ASN identifies a network responsible for routing. A proxy, mobile carrier or company gateway may change your visible exit address. This tool does not test WebRTC or DNS leaks.

Common questions
Why does the result change when I use a proxy?
A website normally sees the final exit address. A VPN, proxy, carrier NAT or company gateway may change it. An IP change alone does not prove that every application uses the proxy.
How is an ASN different from an operator name?
An ASN identifies an autonomous routing system. The name is the database’s description of the organization. One organization can have several ASNs; registration data may differ from a user’s physical city.

Your connection or entered IP is processed by this site. The IP is sent to ipwho.is for network and approximate location data. That provider may log requests; its availability and accuracy can vary.
